Bottom-ranked Gipuzkoa managed to get a seventh victory on Saturday night. This time they edged seventh-ranked Joventut in San Sebastian 89-86. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Joventut won third quarter 20-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Point guard Daniel Perez (188-90) fired 27 points and 7 assists for the winners. Georgian Beqa Burjanadze (201-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Argentinian guard Nicolas Laprovittola (190-90) produced 28 points and 9 assists and Montenegrin forward Marko Todorovic (210-92, agency: Alti Sport) added 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Four Joventut players scored in double figures. Joventut's coach Carles Duran tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Gipuzkoa maintains eighteenth position with 7-20 record. Joventut at the other side keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. Gipuzkoa are looking forward to face higher ranked Blusens Monbus (#12) in Santiago de Comp in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
