Rather predictable result in Venezia where ninth ranked Milano (13-15) beat 12th ranked Marghera (10-17) 65-51 on Saturday. Spanish forward Maria Royo (178-86) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Susanna Toffali (170-98) chipped in 20 points. Guard Sara Toffolo (184-0) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and center Giulia Vanin (186-95, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Milano maintains ninth position in A2 with 13-15 record. Loser Marghera keeps the twelfth place with 17 games lost. Milano will face higher ranked Moncalieri (#4) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Marghera will play against Scrivia (#5) and hope to win that game.
