Regular Season Round 29: Radom - Polpharma 88-81

There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Polpharma (12-17) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked HydroTruck Radom (10-19) 88-81 on Saturday. HydroTruck Radom looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Jarvis Williams (198-93, college: Murray St.) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Artur Mielczarek (196-84) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Tre Bussey (190-91, college: Georgia South) produced 20 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Daniel Golebiowski (196-98) added 14 points respectively for the guests. Five HydroTruck Radom and four Polpharma players scored in double figures. Polpharma's coach Artur Gronek rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. HydroTruck Radom moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with GTK Gliwice. Loser Polpharma keeps the tenth position with 17 games lost. HydroTruck Radom will meet at home higher ranked Start (#9) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Polpharma will play against Legia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
