Regular Season Round 31: Azuqueca - Azpeitia ISB 59-74

Date: April 21, 2019
Very expected game when 10th ranked Azuqueca (13-18) was defeated at home by third ranked Azpeitia ISB (17-14) 74-59 on Sunday. Azpeitia ISB had a 27-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American guard Jahvaughn Powell (183-96, college: Nicholls St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. His fellow American import guard Spencer Reaves (190-95, college: Central Mo., agency: Duran International) helped adding 13 points. At the losing side Nigerian forward Jeffrey Solarin (193-92, college: Idaho St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and Venezuelan forward Luis Valera (202-88, college: UTRGV) scored 7 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Azpeitia ISB maintains third place in Silver with 17-14 record having nine points less than leader Lucentum. Newly promoted Azuqueca keeps the tenth position with 18 games lost. Azpeitia ISB will face league's leader HLA Alicante at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Azuqueca will play against the league's leader Navarra (#1) in Pamplona and hope to win that game.
