No shocking result in a game in Mahon where sixth ranked Menorca (17-14) won against 9th ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (13-18) 69-65 on Sunday. It was a great evening for power forward Andreu Matali (204-81) who led his team to a victory scoring 9 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Richaud Pack (191-92, college: Maryland) helped adding 17 points. Four Menorca players scored in double figures. Menorca's coach Oriol Pages used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side swingman Guillermo Mulero (191-97) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and Venezuelan point guard Harold Cazorla (175-91) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Newly promoted Menorca maintains sixth place in Silver with 17-14 record. Loser Fontedoso Carrefour keeps the ninth position with 18 games lost. Menorca will face Plasencia (#8) on the road in the next round. Fontedoso Carrefour will play against Albacete and hope to win that game.
