Regular Season Round 28: Holon - Beer Sheva 89-78

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Beer Sheva (14-14) was defeated on the road by third ranked Hapoel Holon (20-7) 89-78 on Sunday. Beer Sheva was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Corey Walden (188-92, college: E.Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 assists and forward Darion Atkins (203-92, college: Virginia) who added 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Hapoel Holon players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Jordan Swing (198-90, college: UAB) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Kerron Johnson (183-90, college: Belmont) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 assists. Hapoel Holon moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Beer Sheva keeps the fifth position with 14 games lost. Hapoel Holon will face Galil Gilboa (#10) in Rosh Pina in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Beer Sheva will play at home against Hapoel Jerusalem (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
