Regular Season Round 60: Sendai 89ers - Aomori Watts 108-67

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Aomori Watts (15-45) were crushed on the road by second ranked Sendai 89ers (40-20) 108-67 on Sunday. Sendai 89ers made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Aomori Watts turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Aomori Watts' players. The best player for the winners was American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) who scored 29 points and 9 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). The other American import center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks. Four Sendai 89ers players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Cullen Russo (206-94, college: Fresno St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and Lithuanian power forward Julius Jucikas (205-89, agency: Octagon Europe) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sendai 89ers have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 40-20 record having just three points less than leader Shinshu BW. Loser Aomori Watts keep the sixth place with 45 games lost.
