Regular Season Round 29: Boulazac - Limoges 70-96

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Boulazac Basket (15-13) was crushed at home by seventh ranked Limoges CSP Elite (17-12) 96-70 on Monday. Limoges CSP Elite dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Boulazac Basket's 30. Limoges CSP Elite looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Boulazac Basket was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was center Jerry Boutsiele (207-94) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. American point guard Jordan Taylor (188-89, college: Wisconsin, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists. Five Limoges CSP Elite players scored in double figures. Canadian point guard Kenny Chery (180-92, college: Baylor) produced 21 points and Jerome Sanchez (197-90) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Limoges CSP Elite have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Strasbourg. Loser Boulazac Basket keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost. Limoges CSP Elite will face league's leader ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
