Semi-Finals Game 1: Satu Mare - Olimpia Brasov 77-59

Satu Mare grabbed the lead as they rallied past Olimpia Brasov in Game 1. The game was mostly controlled by Satu Mare. Olimpia Brasov managed to win fourth quarter 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Satu Mare dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Olimpia Brasov's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American-Armenian center Brittany Denson (190-87, college: S.Florida, agency: Two Points) stepped up and scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and the former international forward Andra-Simina Mandache (185-81) chipped in 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Satu Mare's coach Doba Marius used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American power forward Carla Bartee (182-85, college: Ole Miss) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and the former international swingman Romina Filip (174-89) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Olimpia Brasov players scored in double figures.
