Very expected game in Seaford where 16th ranked Frankston Blues (2-4) were defeated by sixth ranked Dandenong Rangers (4-2) 85-74 on Wednesday. Keli Leaupepe (187-0) stepped up and scored 25 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners and center Samson Froling (210-0, college: Creighton) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Dandenong Rangers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Najeal Young (198-94, college: Texas Wesleyan) with 22 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Igor Hadziomerovic (193-92, college: Boise St.) scored 16 points and 5 assists. Dandenong Rangers moved-up to third place in League. Loser Frankston Blues dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. Dandenong Rangers will face Eltham Wildcats (#15) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Frankston Blues will play against NW Tasmania Thunder and hope to win that game.
