Very expected game in Greenacres where 6th ranked North Adelaide Rockets (4-5) were defeated by second ranked Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (6-3) 90-82 on Thursday. North Adelaide Rockets were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American swingman CJ Turnage (201-95, college: Saginaw Valley) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and the former international swingman Anthony Drmic (198-92, college: Boise St.) chipped in 23 points and 5 rebounds. Five Noarlunga City Southern Tigers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Jack McVeigh (203-96, college: Nebraska) with 27 points and 4 assists and American forward Alexander Starling (198-89, college: Beth.-Cookman) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. Despite that victory Noarlunga City Southern Tigers went down to third position (League) due to points difference. Loser North Adelaide Rockets dropped to the seventh place with five games lost. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers will face league's second-placed Mount Gambier Pioneers in Mt Gambier in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
