Everything went according to plan in Marden where first ranked Norwood Flames (9-1) beat 9th ranked Eastern Mavericks (2-7) 99-81 on Thursday. Norwood Flames dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Eastern Mavericks' 36. They outrebounded Eastern Mavericks 49-36 including 34 on the defensive glass. Norwood Flames looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Eastern Mavericks' players.
