Regular Season Round 13: APR - IPRC-Kigali 73-81

The most interesting game of round 13 was a home defeat of 5th ranked APR (6-7) to fourth ranked IPRC-Kigali (7-6) 81-73. Burundian Guibert Nijimbere (-95) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals for the winners and Fiston Irutingabo (-96) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. IPRC-Kigali's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side international Pascal Niyonkuru (193-95) responded with 34 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and international Bienvenue Niyonsaba (201-96) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds. IPRC-Kigali have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 7-6 record. APR at the other side dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. IPRC-Kigali will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. APR will play against IPRC-South (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
