Regular Season Round 30: Gravelines - Fos-Provence 116-85

The game between eleventh ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (16-14) and 15th ranked Provence Basket (9-21) in Gravelines on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Gravelines-Dunkerque outscored guests from Fos-sur-Mer 116-85. Gravelines-Dunkerque made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 20 long-distance shots on high 54.1 percentage. Gravelines-Dunkerque looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by Provence Basket's players. It was a good game for American guard Karvel Anderson (188-91, college: RMU) who led his team to a victory with 39 points (!!!) and 7 assists. British forward Myles Hesson (198-90) contributed with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Gravelines-Dunkerque players scored in double figures. Gravelines-Dunkerque's coach Julien Mahe felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Edouard Choquet (188-88) replied with 16 points and 8 assists and American swingman Malik Hairston (198-87, college: Oregon) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Provence Basket. Gravelines-Dunkerque will face league's second-placed JSF Nanterre on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Provence Basket will play against Le Mans (#8) and hope to win that game.
