Very predictable result when second ranked Almeria (12-5) defeated on the road 9th ranked Caceres (4-13) 85-79 on Saturday. Strangely Caceres outrebounded Almeria 47-32 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Naturalized Lithuanian guard Povilas Bileisis (192-90) scored 27 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Joaquin Reyes (196-96) chipped in 19 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Senegalese center Khadim Fall (205-0) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and Senegalese forward Vieux Kasse (198-0) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Caceres' coach Roberto Blanco let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Almeria maintains second position in Group D-Permam with 12-5 record behind leader Lliria. Caceres lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with 13 games lost. Almeria will face Real Betis II (#8) in Sevilla in the next round where they are favorite. Caceres will play on the road against Martos and hope to win that game.
