Rather expected game in Los Llanos where 16th ranked Casvi (6-22) was crushed by thirteenth ranked Aridane (9-20) 107-62 on Saturday. Aridane dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Casvi's 36. They outrebounded Casvi 45-21 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mali-American power forward Nouhoum Bocoum (208-92, college: Arkansas St.) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Eudaldo Gonzalez (193-93) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Aridane players scored in double figures. Aridane's coach Carlos Garcia felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Matthew Dahlen (201-95, college: St.Martin's) with 18 points and 7 rebounds and Ivan Sanchez (188) scored 11 points.
