Leader Maccabi T-A delivered the twenty second win on Saturday night. This time they crushed 11th ranked Bnei Hasharon (7-22) 102-58 in Hod Hasharon. Maccabi T-A dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Bnei Hasharon's 24. They outrebounded Bnei Hasharon 40-16 including a 30-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Maccabi T-A looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Bnei Hasharon's players. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Jake Cohen (208-90, college: Davidson) who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). American power forward Johnny OBryant-III (205-93, college: LSU) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Maccabi T-A players scored in double figures. Maccabi T-A's coach Giannis Sfairopoulos felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Jerome Dyson (191-87, college: Connecticut) produced 18 points and 5 steals and the other American import forward Jeff Adrien (201-86, college: Connecticut) added 8 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Maccabi T-A have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 22-6 record. Bnei Hasharon at the other side dropped to the bottom position with 22 games lost. Maccabi T-A are looking forward to face Rishon (#6) in Rishon Le-Zion in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Bnei Hasharon will play on the road against the league's second-placed Hapoel Holon (#2) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
