Sixth ranked IPRC-South (6-6) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 3rd placed Espoir (10-4) 55-52 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Espoir. IPRC-South forced 23 Espoir turnovers. Hubert Bugingo (-96) nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Medard Muberwa (-96) accounted for 2 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Armel Sangwe (-98) came up with 16 points and 4 assists and Olivier Kamilindi (-92) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Espoir in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. IPRC-South moved-up to fifth place. Espoir at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. IPRC-South will play against APR (#6) in the next round. Espoir will play against Rusizi and hopes to get back on the winning track.
