Very significant was Tokyo Excel.'s (#1, 10-0) victory against 4th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (4-6) 74-65. Tokyo Excel. forced 20 Iwate Big Bulls turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Iwate Big Bulls helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 8 rebounds. The other American import center Ryan Stephan (208-94, college: Colorado Mesa) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners.
