There was no surprise in Logrono where 9th ranked L'Hospitalet (14-18) was defeated by fifth ranked Cocinas.com (16-16) 69-65 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was American-Haitian swingman Junior Saintel (201-95, college: Stony Brook) who scored 18 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Canadian forward Erik Nissen (206-95, college: Acadia) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds. Senegalese center Mouhamadou Diop (212-87) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and guard Edgar San-Epifanio (196-87) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Cocinas.com maintains fifth position in Silver with 16-16 record. Loser L'Hospitalet keeps the ninth place with 18 games lost. Cocinas.com will face Vic (#11) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. L'Hospitalet will play against Fontedoso Carrefour and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
