Regular Season Round 9: Ipswich F. - Mackay M. 95-107

Very expected game in Booval where bottom-ranked Ipswich Force (0-1) was defeated by first ranked Mackay Meteors (2-1) 107-95 on Sunday. Mackay Meteors outrebounded Ipswich Force 48-36 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Chris Cedar (188-88) stepped up and scored 31 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and American forward Bryce Washington (198-96, college: La-Lafayette) chipped in 22 points and 18 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Kyle Harvey (196-91, college: Williams Baptist) with 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Jayden Ferguson (196, college: Valley City St.) scored 21 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ipswich Force's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mackay Meteors maintains first place in League with 2-1 record. Loser Ipswich Force still closes the standings with one game lost. Mackay Meteors will face Rip (#13) in Sippy Downs in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Ipswich Force will play on the road against Phoenix in Cotton Tree and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
