The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Senators' (7-2) road victory over 6th ranked Flames (7-4) 110-99 on Friday. Senators dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Flames' 38. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Senators looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Forward Caleb Davis (206-95, college: Saginaw Valley) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American guard Justin King (196-89, college: TRU) chipped in 26 points and 6 rebounds. Five Senators players scored in double figures. American guard Caleb White (201-94, college: ECU) produced 31 points and his fellow American import power forward Josh Ritchart (205-92, college: UC Davis) added 22 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Senators moved-up to third place in League. Loser Flames keep the sixth position with four games lost. Senators will face Slammers (#14) in Bunbury in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Flames will play on the road against Hawks (#5) in Floreat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
