No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Chalons-Reims (21-10) beat on the road 12th ranked Le Portel (12-19) 77-60 on Friday. Quite impressive performance for Serbian guard Nikola Knezevic (200-99) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Thomas Pottier (196-99) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Vanly Meite (204-98) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and guard Theo Magrit (188-1) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Le Portel. The victory was the third consecutive win for Chalons-Reims. They maintain fourth place with 21-10 record. Loser Le Portel keeps the twelfth position with 19 games lost. Chalons-Reims will face league's second-placed Bourg at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Le Portel will play against Fos-sur-Mer (#18) and hope to win that game.
