Twelfth-ranked Levallois (14-17) gave a tough game to third ranked Monaco (21-10). The visitors from Monaco managed to secure only one-point victory 80-79. However their fans expected much easier game. Monaco dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Levallois' 26. It was an exceptional evening for Bosnian center Elmedin Kikanovic (211-88, agency: BeoBasket) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. International guard Paul Lacombe (190-90, agency: BeoBasket) accounted for 15 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Monaco's coach Sasa Obradovic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Point guard David Michineau (191-94) came up with 20 points and 8 assists and American swingman Jaron Johnson (198-92, college: Louisiana Tech) added 18 points respectively for Levallois in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Monaco maintains third place with 21-10 record having just three points less than leader ASVEL. Levallois lost fifth consecutive game.
