We should mention about the upset which took place in Poitiers, where higher ranked Sluc Nancy (20-10) lost to ninth ranked Poitiers (16-14) in a road game 73-80 on Friday. Forward Kevin Mendy (200-92) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Clement Desmonts (196-98) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Poitiers' coach Ruddy Nelhomme allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Ivorian point guard Souleyman Diabate (181-87) with 17 points and 9 assists and Cameroonian forward Williams Narace (201-97) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Poitiers moved-up to eighth place. Loser Sluc Nancy keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Poitiers will meet ADA Blois (#9) on the road in the next round. Sluc Nancy will play against Quimper UJAP (#14) and hope to secure a win.
