Rather expected game when 17th ranked Caen (8-22) was defeated at home by fourteenth ranked Quimper UJAP (11-19) 93-84. Quimper UJAP players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Angolan center Valdelicio Joaquim (208-90, college: Hawaii, agency: Duran International) notched 21 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and American guard Bernard King (196-81, college: Texas A&M) supported him with 18 points and 8 assists. Quimper UJAP's coach Laurent Foirest allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) by American forward Jordan Tolbert (201-92, college: SMU) did not help to save the game for Caen. Naturalized Swiss center David Ramseyer (202-87) added 22 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Quimper UJAP maintains fourteenth position with 11-19 record. Caen at the other side dropped to the sixteenth place with 22 games lost.
