Thirteenth-ranked Castello (13-21) made lots of trouble for third ranked Palma (22-12) in Castellon on Friday. The visitors from S'Arenal managed to secure only one-point victory 100-99. However their fans expected much easier game. Palma looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Center Fran Guerra (214-92) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Alex Hernandez (190-93) chipped in 8 points and 11 assists during the contest. Four Palma players scored in double figures. At the losing side naturalized Dominican power forward Juan-Jose Garcia (201-89, agency: Duran International) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and Canadian-Lithuanian point guard Evaldas Zabas (188-88) scored 22 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Palma have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 22-12 record having eight points less than leader Real Betis, which they share with Oviedo. Castello lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 21 games lost.
