Second Stage Round 9: CFBB - Aubenas 88-67

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 26th ranked Aubenas (3-9) was outscored by twenty seventh ranked CFBB (2-9) in Paris 88-67 on Friday. Strangely Aubenas outrebounded CFBB 40-22 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for guard Timothe Crusol (192-1) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 4 assists. Guard Juhann Begarin (194-2) contributed with 15 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. CFBB's coach Jean-Aime Toupane felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Jonathan Kyungu (204-96) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and guard Alexandre Karolak (192-95) added 15 points in the effort for Aubenas. Five CFBB and four Aubenas players scored in double figures. CFBB maintains twenty seventh place with 2-9 record. Aubenas lost their third game in a row. They keep the twenty sixth position with nine games lost.
