There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Gijon (14-19) outplayed 8th ranked Moron (16-18) in Morón de la Frontera 88-64 on Saturday. Gijon shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. It was a good game for American guard Martyce Kimbrough (185-96, college: Findlay, OH, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Canadian forward Shane Osayande (198-93, college: Saskatchewan) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Five Gijon players scored in double figures. Forward Alejandro Rodriguez (200-98) answered with 21 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and naturalized Senegalese center Fall El-Hadji (210-92, agency: Interperformances) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Moron. Gijon moved-up to ninth place in Silver. Loser Moron keeps the eighth position with 18 games lost.
