Regular Season Round 31: Nanterre - Gravelines 88-82
Date: May 4, 2019
Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (16-15) was defeated on the road by second ranked JSF Nanterre (22-9) 88-82 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. JSF Nanterre made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for international Lahaou Konate (196-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 7 rebounds. American power forward Julian Gamble (208-89, college: Miami, FL) helped adding 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five JSF Nanterre players scored in double figures. At the losing side American Scott Wood (198-90, college: NC State, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import power forward Taylor Smith (199-91, college: SF Austin) scored 14 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). JSF Nanterre have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 22-9 record having just two points less than leader ASVEL. Loser Gravelines-Dunkerque dropped to the tenth position with 15 games lost. JSF Nanterre will face bottom-ranked Olympique Antibes (#18) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play against Levallois (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
