Very predictable result in Villaviciosa where seventh ranked Quintanar (16-14) beat 16th ranked Casvi (6-23) 90-76 on Saturday. American guard Khion Sankey (196-92, college: Lipscomb) fired 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. His fellow American import guard KJ Bluford (185-93, college: E.Kentucky) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Matthew Dahlen (201-95, college: St.Martin's) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and point guard Alvaro Tebar (177-99) added 10 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Casvi's coach Jose Antonio Sanchez gave the chance to play for ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
