There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Martos (9-10) was edged at home by ninth ranked Caceres (5-13) 79-77 on Saturday. Strangely Martos outrebounded Caceres 46-32 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Martos was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Alejandro Jorda (193-95, college: Cuesta JC) fired 28 points and 5 assists for the winners. Senegalese forward Vieux Kasse (198-0) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Caceres players scored in double figures. David Melero (-91) produced 25 points and Santiago Dominguez (-97) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Newly promoted Caceres maintains ninth place in Group D-Permam with 5-13 record. Martos at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost.
