Helios Suns held off Hopsi Polzela to advance into the semifinal stage. The hosts trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 24-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Hopsi Polzela outrebounded Helios Suns 34-22 including 27 on the defensive glass. Bosnian-Serbian swingman Nikola Gajic (195-91, college: SF Austin) notched 20 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and international forward Blaz Mahkovic (201-90, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 15 points and 6 assists. Even 28 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) by naturalized Bosnian forward Simo Atanackovic (207-90) did not help to save the game for Hopsi Polzela. American point guard Casey Benson (190-95, college: GCU) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the guests.
