Second Stage Round 12: Jedinstvo - Mornar Bar 71-86

Bottom-ranked Jedinstvo (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 86-71 loss to second ranked Mornar Bar (4-2) in Bijelo Polje. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. They made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Mornar Bar forced 22 Jedinstvo turnovers. Strangely Jedinstvo outrebounded Mornar Bar 45-27 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for international power forward Vukota Pavic (204-93) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 8 rebounds. The former international Ivan Jelenic (191-85) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Mornar Bar players scored in double figures. Forward Vladimir Tomasevic (201-92) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Milos Milosevic (201-89, college: Simon Fraser) added 21 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Jedinstvo. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains second position with 4-2 record having just two points less than leader Ibar Rozaje, which they share with Sutjeska. Jedinstvo at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Mornar Bar will play against Ulcinj (#5) in Ulcijn in the next round. Jedinstvo will play on the road against the league's leader Buducnost in Podgorica and hopes to get finally their first victory.
