Regular Season Round 10: Kilsyth C. - Sandringham S. 92-106

Undefeated Kilsyth Cobras (6-1) recorded its first loss at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by eighteenth ranked Sabres (2-5) 106-92. Sabres dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Kilsyth Cobras' 42. The former international forward David Barlow (205-83, college: MSU Denver) had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Nicholas Gabsch (193, college: Cuesta JC) chipped in 18 points during the contest. Sabres' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side guard Peter Hooley (193-92, college: Albany) responded with 24 points and 8 assists and New Zealand power forward Tohi Smith-Milner (206-95, college: Polk State CC) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. Five Sabres and four Kilsyth Cobras players scored in double figures. Sabres moved-up to sixteenth place in League. Loser Kilsyth Cobras still keep top position with one game lost. Sabres will meet at home higher ranked Spectres (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Kilsyth Cobras will play against the league's second-placed Ballarat Miners having rather not much hope for a victory.
