Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Saint Chamond (18-13) lost on the road to third ranked SPO Rouen (22-9) 98-85 on Tuesday. SPO Rouen dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Saint Chamond's 40. SPO Rouen forced 19 Saint Chamond turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Quite impressive performance for American-Liberian guard Lasan Kromah (198-91, college: Connecticut) who helped to win the game recording 25 points. Guard Jessie Begarin (205-88, agency: Court Side) contributed with 16 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Swingman Lucas Hergott (200-97) answered with 14 points and Tunisian point guard Omar Abada (189-93) added 15 points in the effort for Saint Chamond. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Saint Chamond's coach let to play ten players in this game, but that didn't help. SPO Rouen have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Orleans and Vichy Clermont. Loser Saint Chamond keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. SPO Rouen will face Caen (#17) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Saint Chamond will play against C'Chartres (#18) and hope to win that game.
