Regular Season Round 31: Blois - Poitiers 72-63

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when ninth ranked ADA Blois (16-14) beat at home 8th ranked Poitiers (16-15) 72-63 on Tuesday. ADA Blois dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Poitiers' 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Quite impressive performance for American forward Tyren Johnson (202-88, college: La-Lafayette) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four ADA Blois players scored in double figures. American-British guard Warren Niles (194-89, college: ORU, agency: Inception Sports) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Mickael Var (205-90) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Poitiers. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. ADA Blois moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Nantes. Loser Poitiers dropped to the tenth position with 15 games lost. ADA Blois will face league's leader Chorale de Roanne on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Poitiers will play against Entente Orleans 45 (#3) and hope to win that game.
