Bottom-ranked UCAM Murcia managed to get a ninth victory, breaking the series of two consecutive losses. This time they won against ninth-ranked Joventut in Badalona 94-86. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 30-17. But Joventut won third quarter 28-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Joventut was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Swiss-American guard Askia Booker (186-93, college: Colorado) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. British Ovie Soko (201-91, college: Duquesne) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Montenegrin forward Marko Todorovic (210-92, agency: Alti Sport) answered with 21 points and 6 rebounds and Argentinian guard Nicolas Laprovittola (190-90) added 20 points and 7 assists in the effort for Joventut. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. UCAM Murcia (9-21) moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with Gipuzkoa. Joventut at the other side dropped to the tenth position with 15 games lost. UCAM Murcia will play against higher ranked Unicaja Malaga (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Joventut will play against La ICL Manresa (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
