ICIM Arad beat Olimpia Brasov in the consolation finals opener. Olimpia Brasov was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. ICIM Arad dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Olimpia Brasov's 30. American power forward Destiny Williams (185-91, college: Baylor) fired a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Serbian guard Brankica Hadzovic (175-81) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Williams is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Serbian point guard Marija Prlja (163-87) produced 34 points (!!!) (made all of her eleven free throws !!!) and Serbian Biljana Pesovic (180-83) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
