Regular Season Round 1: Niagara RL - Edmonton S. 105-118

Very significant was Edmonton S.'s (#1, 1-1) victory against Niagara RL (1-1) 118-105. Edmonton S. dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Niagara RL's 34 and made 30-of-38 free shots (78.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Niagara RL 45-25 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Niagara RL was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Xavier Moon (188, college: Morehead St., agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 36 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) for the winners and Canadian forward Mamadou Gueye (201, college: Alberta) chipped in 27 points and 8 rebounds. Niagara RL will play again on the road against Edmonton S. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
