There was an upset when 3rd placed Buccaneers (7-3) lost to ninth ranked Suns (6-7) in Wonthella 66-73 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Suns made 7 blocks. American swingman Joshua Braun (193-94, college: GCU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Louis Timms (206-91, college: Wayland Baptist) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. American forward Colter Lasher (201-94, college: Houston Baptist) answered with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Aaron Ralph (200-89) added 17 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Buccaneers. Four Buccaneers players scored in double figures. Suns moved-up to eighth place in League. Loser Buccaneers dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Suns will face Redbacks (#9) in Northbridge in the next round. Buccaneers will play at home against Hawks (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
