Regular Season Round 15: APR - UR 80-53

Bottom-ranked UR is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 16th consecutive match to sixth ranked APR (7-7) 80-53 on Saturday evening. APR dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to UR's 32. They also forced 24 UR turnovers and outrebounded them 50-30 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for international Pascal Niyonkuru (193-95) who led the winners and scored 30 points. Fabrice Mugiraneza (-95) accounted for 15 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side. Ildephonse Muneza came up with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Heritier Irumva (-94) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for UR in the defeat. UR's coach already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. APR maintains sixth place with 7-7 record. UR lost their sixteenth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings.
