There was a small surprise when tenth ranked South Adelaide Panthers (2-8) edged 7th ranked West Adelaide Bearcats (5-6) in Woodville 91-89 on Saturday. Strangely West Adelaide Bearcats outrebounded South Adelaide Panthers 41-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. American forward Zach Allmon (203, college: Vanguard) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds. Brad Jonnek contributed with 9 points and 6 assists for the winners. South Adelaide Panthers' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Bryan Jefferson (201-94, college: Mary) answered with 31 points and 9 rebounds and guard Patrick Thomas (190, college: Mary) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for West Adelaide Bearcats. Four South Adelaide Panthers and five West Adelaide Bearcats players scored in double figures. South Adelaide Panthers moved-up to ninth place in League. Loser West Adelaide Bearcats keep the seventh position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
