There was a minor upset when 3rd placed Manly Warringah Sea Eagles (7-3) were edged by sixth ranked Norths Soul Sports Bears (6-5) in Narrabeen 80-77 on Saturday. Norths Soul Sports Bears looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Anatoly Bose orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds. Forward Michael Golding (198, college: Adrian) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Norths Soul Sports Bears' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Kevin White (189-87, college: Alaska-Anch.) answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Steven White (182-90, college: Alaska-Anch.) added 21 points and 4 assists in the effort for Manly Warringah Sea Eagles. Despite that victory Norths Soul Sports Bears went down to seventh position (League) due to points difference. Loser Manly Warringah Sea Eagles dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. Norths Soul Sports Bears will face league's leader Crusaders in Terrigal in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will play at home against Spiders and hope to win that game.
