The most exciting game of round 14 in the LMBPF took place in Ciudad de Mexico. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 4th ranked Gamos (7-7) to sixth ranked Barreteras (5-9) 97-95 on Sunday evening. 31 personal fouls committed by Gamos helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Puerto Rican point guard Dayshalee Salaman (163-90, college: Lincoln Memorial) scored 38 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Alexis Castro (180-86, college: Vermont) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Colombian forward Luz Asprilla (183-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and the former international Vanessa Dominguez scored 25 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Barreteras maintains sixth position with 5-9 record. Gamos at the other side keep the fourth place with seven games lost.
