There was no surprise when 15th ranked Diamond Valley Eagles (2-6) lost to twelfth ranked Bandits (4-3) in Greensborough 89-95 on Sunday. Diamond Valley Eagles were plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Ken-Jah Bosley (185, college: Ky Wesleyan) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import power forward Torren Jones (206-94, college: William Penn) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Forward Liam Thomas (213, college: Nicholls St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 17 rebounds and Nigerian-American guard Anthony Odunsi (193-92, college: Houston Baptist, agency: Haylett Sports) added 22 points and 4 assists in the effort for Diamond Valley Eagles. Four Diamond Valley Eagles players scored in double figures. Diamond Valley Eagles' coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Bandits moved-up to ninth place in League. Loser Diamond Valley Eagles keep the fifteenth position with six games lost. Bandits will face Huskies (#14) in Hobart in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Diamond Valley Eagles will play on the road against Geelong Supercats and hope to win that game.
