No shocking result in a game when first ranked Crusaders (9-2) crushed 9th ranked Bankstown Bruins (4-7) in Terrigal 104-44 on Sunday. Crusaders dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Bankstown Bruins' 26. Crusaders forced 23 Bankstown Bruins turnovers and outrebounded them 56-25 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Crusaders looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Bankstown Bruins' players. American forward Mitchell Rueter (198, college: Cent Arkansas) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points and 8 rebounds. Jacob Cracknell contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Crusaders players scored in double figures. Crusaders' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nicko Timonera answered with 11 points and Cypriot Chris Christodoulides added 6 points in the effort for Bankstown Bruins. Crusaders maintains first place in League with 9-2 record. Loser Bankstown Bruins keep the ninth position with seven games lost. Crusaders will face Norths Soul Sports Bears (#7) in Crows Nest in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
