Very expected game in Hod Hasharon where 12th ranked Bnei Hasharon (7-24) was defeated by second ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (23-8) 76-69 on Monday. Hapoel Jerusalem made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Dominican-American James Feldeine (193-88, college: Quinnipiac) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points (made all of his seven free throws). American power forward Amare Stoudemire (208-82) helped adding 14 points and 6 rebounds. Hapoel Jerusalem's coach David-Oded Kattache used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American Jerome Dyson (191-87, college: Connecticut) responded with 25 points and 4 assists and the former international Karam Mashour (198-91, college: Morehead St.) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Bnei Hasharon players scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Hapoel Jerusalem. They maintain second place with 23-8 record behind leader Maccabi T-A, which they share with Holon. Bnei Hasharon lost their third game in a row. They stay dead last with 24 lost games. Hapoel Jerusalem will face Rishon (#6) in Rishon Le-Zion in the next round. Bnei Hasharon will play on the road against Hapoel Eilat (#4) and hope to win that game.
