Twelfth-ranked Bnei Hasharon (7-25) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Hapoel Eilat (22-10). Hapoel Eilat managed to secure only one-point victory 74-73. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a great shooting night for Hapoel Eilat especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. International Rafi Menco (200-94) saved the victory by scoring 21 points. Nigerian power forward Suleiman Braimoh (203-89, college: Rice) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American Jerome Dyson (191-87, college: Connecticut) replied with 25 points and 4 steals and the former international center DOr Fischer (211-81, college: WVU) added 12 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Bnei Hasharon. Four Bnei Hasharon players scored in double figures. Hapoel Eilat maintains fourth position with 22-10 record. Bnei Hasharon lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 25 lost games. Hapoel Eilat will play against Rishon (#7) in Rishon Le-Zion in the next round. Bnei Hasharon will play at home against Beer Sheva (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
