Not a big story in a game in Runaway Bay where bottom-ranked Toowoomba Mountaineers (0-5) were defeated by sixth ranked Seahawks (2-3) 77-65 on Friday. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Tom Howard (200-95) who helped to win the game recording 7 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists and center Brent Wallace (213-92) who added 13 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Abraham Yaak with 14 points and 6 rebounds and guard Ranko Puseljic (188, college: N.Mexico Highlands) scored 19 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Seahawks went down to ninth position (League) due to points difference. Loser Toowoomba Mountaineers still closes the standings with five games lost. Seahawks will face Thunder (#12) in Loganholme in the next round.
